CF Golfer/Code Fitness Charity Golf Day
On Friday the 30th of September CF Golfer and Code Fitness hosted a charity 18-hole golf match for Code Fitness members and CF Golfer athletes along with a host of sponsors of the day.
The match was held at Newark Golf Club who worked with us to ensure the day went ahead smoothly and affordable.
Together we were able to raise £2250 for MIND Charity.
The day was split into 2 categories. The first was a pro comp where the players had to submit a legitimate handicap to us before play. The second was an open category where the players who didn’t have a handicap were able to score themselves a handicap with a limit of 28 shots.
We played Stableford rules and unfortunately got caught in the weather! However, we had some tough characters who made it the full 18. 12 of the 15 teams finished and the results are below.
Pro winner was split between CF Golfers Ivan and Luke Botton.
Second place went to Gordon Bester.
Open winner was Simon Haywood.
Second place was Code Fitness employee Rory Mcconnell.
The Longest drive went to Gary Pollard and Closest to the pin went to CF Golfer Luke Botton. Both men received a Bluejays Range finder for winning.
We once again were helped by Wilson who sent us 60 packs of Duo Soft balls for all competitors to play with amongst a range of accessories for prizes on the day.
The day was perfect apart from the weather, but it was greatly enjoyed by all.
CF Golfer entered two teams a Senior and a Juniors.
CF Senior Team – Ivan Botton snr, Ivan Botton jr, Luke Botton, Harry Botton.
CF Junior Team – Harry James Lacey, Alfie Sperke, Charlie Cooke, Louis Cooke.
Well done to all and it was great to host a day that raised so much money for MIND Charity.
We will be hosting more comps in the new year that we are excited for. All will be funded by CF Golfer and all monies raised for charity.
We take great pride in being able to help so many and we expect nothing in return.
